Grand opening of the Murmansk Region Law Enforcement Agencies Museum took place in Capital of the Arctic

Murmansk Region Law Enforcement Agencies Museum opening ceremony took place in Murmansk on the Eve of the professional holiday of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Permanent exhibition is located in the building of the Migration Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affaires Administration for the Murmansk Region. Governor Andrey Chibis participated in this solemn event.

“It is very symbolic that Murmansk Region Law Enforcement Agencies Museum found its permanent home on the eve of the professional holiday. It is absolutely correct that the museum has preserved all the history and values, especially from the point of view of education and training of young employees,” stressed Andrey Chibis. - I congratulate everyone with the permanent registration of the new museum and the upcoming Day of the employee of the Law Enforcement Agencies. As part of this solemn event, the Distinguished employees of the regional police department were awarded with honorary badge of the governor, with a certificates of honor, with gratitude and letters of thanks. Also, the head of Russian Ministry of Internal Affaires Administration for the Murmansk Region, Police Major General Vitaly Zaikov gave the head of the region Andrei Chibis a commemorative jubilee medal of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affaires "300 years of the Russian Police" as a present.As Vitaly Zaikov mentioned that the Museum has become a center of patriotic education for young employees and a meeting place for veterans of the regional Law Enforcement Agencies. Its halls host the rituals of service weapons presentations, swearing of the students of Vocational Training Center and students of legal class.

At present, exposition is represented by exhibits telling about the historical stages of the Law Enforcement Agencies on the Kola Peninsula, seized weapons and material evidences, banners, awards and distinctions, photographs. In the new place there is also a stand dedicated to the employees of the Law Enforcement Agencies of the Murmansk region who died in the line of duty in peacetime.
