The Murmansk region is the northernmost region of European part of Russia, greater part of the Murmansk region is located beyond the Arctic Circle. But in summer there are endless polar days when the sun shines even at night!
There is a special charm in the Murmansk region in summer. From mid-May to late August, the sun does not set over horizon. This time is called the Polar Day. Summer on the Kola Peninsula is a time for salmon fishing, picking up mushrooms and berries in August – September as well as a unique chance to see the Arctic Ocean coast during summer time.
